Episode 1
Alstonfield, The Peak District
Pub: The George
The first of many a 'Peaks and Pints' trip saw us venture to Alstonfield in the Peak District. As it was a starter I thought i'd choose a slightly easier loop for me and the boys to trundle along. We set off on the 4.5 mile round trip from The George pub and made our way down to the Dove River via the small yet pleasant village of Milldale. After a meandering riverside stroll, we reached Ilam Rock where we crossed the bridge and made our ascent up to Hall Dale. Finishing up with a long but fairly steady walk along Millway Lane back to Alstonfield.

Then it was refreshments time! The George at Alstonfield was a wonderful pub to share a post walk beer in, and although we had our own food cooking at home, the dishes that were coming out of the kitchen looked amazing! After eating back at our Air Bnb, we headed straight back to the pub where we spent the evening in the outer house (they were very busy) sinking pints.
